Rhytidiadelphus japonicus var. kamchaticus
Czernyadjeva & Ignatov
is described. The species has in general more southern distribution, and this
is the first finding in Kamchatka, where plants are different in a number of
characters, although identical with R. japonus var.
japonicus by nr ITS and cp trnL-F sequences.
